When do I pick up and return my tux?
Your tuxedo will be ready the day before your event and needs to be returned the following business day. The rental is available for a total of three days. For example: If your event is Saturday then you would pick up the tuxedos on Friday and return them on Monday. Extended rental options are available upon request. The staff at Slade Formalwear are more than happy to work with your schedule whenever possible.

Do you offer designer styles? What are your size ranges?
Our inventory is continually expanding to feature the latest styles, designs and colors from designers such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Jean Yves, Joseph Abound, Perry Ellis, FUBU and more. With over 250 colors of vests and ties to choose from, we’ve got the perfect match for any dress. Not to mention the most comfortable and up to date styles of shoes and shirts.

Most tuxedo rental styles are available from Boys Size 3 to Men’s Size 56. Larger size coats are available in some styles. We also carry toddler tuxes starting at 12 months. Check with store for specific size and style options.

What are your prices?
Our tuxedos are priced very competitively and have no hidden costs. Each tuxedo is priced based on the coat, shoes, vest and specialty accessories such as a hat, cane, etc. Please contact Slade Formalwear for specific pricing information. We are also proud to provide promotional offers for weddings, groups and student events.

How far in advance should I get fitted?
Under most circumstances, wedding parties and large groups are registered four to six months in advance to allow time for everyone to be measured. We generally like to have all the measurements in for the party at least 4 weeks prior to the event.

For single rentals, it is best to come in a week or two before you will need the tux to make your reservation and get fitted. Slade Formalwear can accommodate last minute rentals, so just give us a call and ask!

How do I get my measurements to you?
We recommend that local residents come to our store to be fitted by our tuxedo experts. If out of state, simply go to a local tuxedo store in your area and have them complete our measurement form, it should be free of charge. Then call or fax your information to us at 774-888-0024.

Should I rent or purchase a tuxedo?
The general rule of thumb is that if you’re going to need a tuxedo more than three times a year, you’re better off buying, and if it’s less than three times a year you’re better off renting. Unless you are a frequent “party goer” chances are the best decision will be to rent.

However, if you would like to purchase a tuxedo, Slade Formalwear has a wonderful selection of retail Tuxedos, shirts, and accessories available. Destination suits and tuxedos have been a very popular purchase item this year and make a great addition to any wardrobe.

What if I have to cancel my tuxedo order?
If you cancel your tuxedo at least 10 days before your event we will keep a $25 dep.

Wedding Formalwear Tips

When should I register my wedding?
We suggest that you register your wedding with Slade Formalwear soon after the bride has selected the wedding and bridesmaids color, typically three to six months before your wedding. Registering early will ensure that all individuals in your wedding party will have time to provide their measurements and get fitted. Your groomsmen will try their tuxedos on when they pick up their tuxedos.

How do I register my wedding?
Call Slade Formalwear and set up an appointment for you and your fiancé to come in and pick out the styles and colors for your wedding. A formal wear specialist will complete the wedding registration paperwork for you, listing all the members of your wedding party and what styles each will be wearing.

Many customers find it helpful to bring in swatches of their dresses to help with color selection. This process can also be completed via telephone for out of town couples, if needed. Registering makes the tuxedo process easy and organized for you and your wedding party. After registering, the groomsmen simply come into our store for fitting at their leisure.

I have people coming in from out of town, how do I get measurements to you?
At Slade Formalwear we’ve made is easy. Simply register your wedding first and then provide your groomsmen with the Out of Town Measurement form, or they can printed from our website.

Your wedding party members can be fitted at any local tuxedo store and then call/fax their measurements to us at 774-888-0024. All measurements for the wedding party should be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the event.

How do I order a tuxedo for my event?
To select your tuxedo style, you can come to our store and browse our tuxedos and accessories. Slade Formalwear has actual color swatches for viewing at the store. Once you have selected your tuxedo, a tuxedo expert will take your measurements and place your order. We require a $25.00 down payment toward the rental, and then reserve your tuxedo.

When can I pick up my tux and when do I return the tux?
Your tuxedo rental is picked up the day of your event after 11am, and returned the following day. There will be a late charge of $10 per day for the first three days it is late. On the fourth day a full rental fee will be charged.
